No Wizard No Cry

August 8, 2005 · 2 Comments

Today I had the whole afternoon free so I finished reading the latest Harry Potter book. I’ll start by saying this: I didn’t cry or even feel sad when it happened. I’ve talked to friends who’ve read it and read some blogs entries on it, and they all agreed that it was the saddest thing ever to happen in the series. I guess I was too prepared so I was actually not that impressed when it happened. Sort of like when I kept telling NA that The Ring was the freakiest movie ever and he told me later that it wasn’t scary at all.

Also today was CY’s bday! She’s in LA so we’ll have to wait until she gets back to celebrate. We’re turning 26 this year, can you believe it? Well, yes, probably, since most of you all who read this blog are older than I am.

While I was at the gym today I got a phone call from a college friend who never calls out of the blue. Actually I’ve written her off because she never seemed to care about our friendship that much. Last time we hung out she had a new boyfriend who happened to be best friends with SC’s friend. And SC’s friend is a total jackass. But because she called just to say hello, that might mean something after all. I called her back and left voicemail. Let the phone tag game begin.

I didn’t feel anything either when I read it… It happened too quickly/easily and I kept expecting him to come back. :)
