Back home

After two train trips, I’m back home in Virginia. It’s very quiet right now because my mom is taking a nap. I miss the crowds of NYC now. NYC had tons of people, Philadelphia noticeably fewer, and Northern Virginia a lot fewer.

In Philly I got to catch up with the RMs – twins I befriended in high school but lost touch with after graduation. That makes seven years since we last saw each other. We had some fun google searching old classmates to see what they were up to. The RMs just bought a new house in Philly, one of the old colonial style houses with original wood floors and even a boot scraper in front. I was also able to catch up with SA and AA, friends from Stanford. The RMs, SA, and AA are all in med school, so after talking with them all I realized I made the right choice by avoiding med school. I would have been miserable.

Now the question is “should I move to NYC”, but hasn’t that been the question since I graduated from Stanford? At least this blog will serve as proof that I had the idea again. Everyone tells me that when I go back East, I talk about moving back East. Then I somehow forget and continue life as usual in the Bay Area.
